Thinking...

Zimbabwe is yet to declare a winner... some what predictable, which is the sad part. when will africans realize that u dont have to hold onto power to be impactful.

When will we realize that power is a tool of importance that dwindles to nothing more than selfish empowerment because at the end of the day, u dont live for you and everything you do has an impact.

Nuff said.

Happens only in Africa, mostly, and it drags us behind everyone else.

its not just africans that like to cling on to power, its all so-called leaders. we have to appreciate that democracy in africa is till in its infancy. to put it into perspective, blacks only started voting in the us and uk about 50 years ago, so they cannot be said to have had democracy before then.

having said that, i feel we should do a jerry rawlings on all these theiving rulers so that africa can start on a clean slate.

It seems it is only in Afica where African leaders are obsessed with power. It is not just the ordinary power, but the absolute power. They will do anything to make it absolute by removing presidential term limits, declaring themselves above the law, looting and looting and looting. Where are we headed to with such leaders?

This disease is deeply rooted because it has somehow gotten mixed up with tribal affiliations and African culture as a whole. . .
Well in Nigeria, its seriously common to justify asking for a bribe using sayings and proverbs until ones gets the feeling they are doing a wise thing. . .

Then when "our son" gets into power, we kinda feel we benefit thus we show unimaginable gusto to maintain them there. As a result, leaders MISBEHAVE because we let em
